The Rate of Work app in Fuzor allows users to calculate the expected duration of a task using data stored in the BIM properties of objects assigned to tasks.

Use the Rate of Work button in the 4D Toolbox to open the Work Rate Duration Calculation Menu app.

The Work rate Duration Calculation menu displays all work rate calculations in the file.

The Create button adds a new work rate calculation to the list associated with the task that is currently selectedin the gantt chart.

Each work rate calculation can be furthur filtered down to apply to a subset of the objects assigned to the assoicated task. In order do be included in the work rate calculation the objects must contain a given value in a specified BIM parameter. In the example above only objects with the “Structural Foundation” Category are included in the calculation.

The Value drop down menu is used to select a value to filter the objects

The Unit drop down menu specifies an additional BIM parameter that is used for the calculation. In the example above the Volume is used to for the calculation. in this case the total volume is calculated for appropriate objects and mulitplied by the Rate of Work / Hour factor.

The Calculate button processes the rate of work calculations and updates associated tasks. The Calcuated Duration column displays the workrate calculation.
