Learn how to navigate through Fuzor’s 3D view using different native control schemes.

There are 4 different control modes in Fuzor. Use the Navigation Controls App to change the control mode. The Navigation Controls App is located on the Quick Access Toolbar. The Ctrl + 3 hotkey opens the Navigation Controls. Once in this menu use the radio buttons to change the control mode.

The Revit Control radio button lets you control the camera like in Revit.

The Navisworks Control radio button lets you control the camera like in Navisworks.

The Free-Camera Control radio button sets the controls to the default Fuzor controls.

The Avatar Control radio button allows you to control the avatar in 3rd person.

The Lock Cam check box locks the camera at the given Height above a surface. You must have a 3D Surface or terrain to use this feature.

The Drop Avatar Button allows you to drop your avatar on any surface in the scene.

The Avatar Visibility check box toggles whether the avatar is visible in the 3D scene. The Ctrl + A hotkey toggles this setting.

The Navigation Dialog displays how to navigate using the current control scheme. Use the Toggle Navigation dialog check box in the Navigation Controls App to change whether this dialog is displayed.

The Navigation controls menu also enables you to change features of the 3D view and the overall handling of the current control scheme.

The MiniMap radio button enables the MiniMap.

The ViewCube radio button enables the ViewCube.

The Motion Blur radio buttons toggle the camera rotation motion blur effect.

The Cam Speed slider controls the movement speed of the camera. The Ctrl + Up Arrow hotkey increases the camera speed. The Ctrl +Down Arrow hotkey decreases the camera speed.

The Rotate Speed slider controls the speed at which the camera rotates.

The Smoothness slider smooths the acceleration of the camera.

This section demonstrates how to use the use the Mini Map and the View Cube.

Both the Mini Map and the View Cube appear in the top right window of the 3D view. You can switch between them by using their associated radio buttons in the Navigation controls. The Ctrl + M hotkey switches between the Mini Map and the View Cube.

The Mini Map is a great tool for navigating your 3D scene. It displays a top down orthographic view of the surrounding scene. It displays icons for important objects, like the camera or the avatar and a compass in the top left corner.

You can use the Mini Map to jump to specific locations that are predefined by your Revit model using the drop down menu defaulted to Site. You can also jump to specific locations using the X, Y, Z Coordinate Fields.

Jumps to the coordinates specified

The View cube is a great way to control your 3D camera precisely without moving its location in 3D space. You can use the cardinal belt to spin the camera around the Y-axis. To pan the along all axis, click and drag the cube itself. To align the camera, select any of the planes on the cube. Additionally, corners and edges can be selected for a 45° orientation. When in avatar control mode certain aspects of the view cube are disabled.

You will only be able to change the rotation around the y axis by clicking on planes, corners, and edges of the View Cube.

Learn about the cinematic navigation control mode

When using Flythrough the user is automatically changed to a different Navigational control. The Navigation Control returns to the previously set scheme after exiting the flythrough app.

Switching the cinematic navigation control can be disabled.

The Toggle Cinematic Camera checkbox toggles whether the cinematic camera mode is automatically turned on when using the flythrough app.

When in Cinematic Camera mode fuzor allows the user to pan around a set point. When a point is set it appears as a green circle in the view. This ball is only visible when in Cinematic Camera mode, and will not appear in a rendered video.

Selecting in the 3D View with the Left mouse button will reposition the pivot. Use Shift + Middle Mouse Button to pan around the pivot.

The Cinematic Camera mode can be enabled outside of flythrough by holding Alt + Left Click. Selecting ESC disables the Cinematic Camera mode and returns the user to the camera mode used before enabled cinematic camera mode
