Exporting and Loading Cache Files

This section demonstrates how to export and load different kinds of cache files.

Fuzor allows you to save your Fuzor project into a cache file so that you can come back to it later. All of this is done from the Fuzor Project Panel located on the Quick Access Toolbar. The Ctrl + 2 hotkey opens the Fuzor Project Panel.

The Save button saves to the currently opened Cache file as a CHE. The Ctrl + S hotkey can also be used.

The Save As button exports the current project as a Fuzor Cache file. The Ctrl + Shift + S hotkey can also be used.

The Load button loads a previously saved Cache file or any other supported file. The Ctrl + O hotkey can also be used.

The New button clears your Fuzor scene to start a new project.

Supported file types for loading projects are:

Fuzor Project Cache: (.che). Standard Fuzor project file.

Fuzor Linked File: (.chl). For more information see Linked File Manager.

Fuzor Viewer File: (.exe). For more information see Viewer Generation and Collaboration.

Sketchup: (.skp).

3D Object: (.fbx).

3DS Max: (.3ds).

The Recent Files List displays all the Fuzor Cache files that have recently been open in Fuzor. Any file that cannot be found will be highlighted in red and will not be able to be opened. To select a file, click the file name. The file size of the currently selected file is displayed below the list. Click the Load button underneath the list to open the selected file.

You can also use this menu to export other file types

Mobile files can be opened on iOS devices

IFC files can be exported and loaded in other software. The Save as IFC menu appears when Export is selected with the IFC radio button activated.

In this menu you can select from each of the models that are loaded into the project and toggle whether they are exported to IFC. Individual IFC files are always created as separate IFC.

To export a FZM to a third party cloud service you need to have access to an account associated with that service.

The Local button saves an FZM file to your local machine. The Ctrl + F hotkey can also be used.

The Export Saved Views Checkbox toggles whether saved views in your file are exported to mobile.

The Logout button removes your information requiring that you login again before exporting to the associated cloud service.

The Dropbox button exports a FZM to Dropbox. The Ctrl + D hotkey can also be used.
