Hosting Collaboration Sessions

This section provides information related to hosting collaboration sessions.

Only VDC and Ultimate Fuzor License owners can Host a Peer-to-Peer Collaboration session. There are 3 ways to host a Peer-To-Peer collaboration Session.

Internet Connections: A Session Code is generated that can be used by a collaborator to connect to the session. To Host using this method Fuzor needs to connect to uswest.kalloctech.com using HTTPS port 443.

The matchmaker is hosted on a Kalloc server and only serves to give a session code to the host and connect a joining session to the correct host. It does not transmit or log any information about collaboration sessions.

Local Area Network (LAN) Connections: The host appears on the LAN Host List. To update this list, select Search LAN.

Direct IP Connections: collaborators connect via an IP address. This is a network address if on the same network and a TCP IP address if located on a separate network.

Direct IP and LAN require that the host be able to receive connections through UPD Port 45204 and TCP port 45205.

For All Peer-to-Peer collaboration types The Peer-To-Peer window will display a list of connected users. When a collaborator joins you can give control over to that collaborator by clicking the green circle next to their name. If in free roam mode you can always teleport to any of the other collaborators by clicking their name in the list. The other text box will display chat messages that can be sent via the text box below it. To keep track of your collaborations it is sometimes useful to generate a report. This can be done using the Generate Report button. A report includes any changes or annotations made during the collaboration as well as chat messages and collaborators joining and leaving.

The Tour Guide radio button forces clients to follow the host's avatar when in avatar mode.

The Free Roaming radio button allows clients to control their own avatar and navigate the scene on their own.

As a collaborator you can Edit your scene just as you would in Fuzor normally. However, the changes you have made will not be displayed to other collaborators unless you are the presenter. Annotations will be updated to all other collaborators as soon as they have been made. This is a great way to visually communicate while collaborating
