A 3D Location Marker is a caption that is attached to a specific object. Their visibility can be toggled at different times during a flythrough video to label different methodology or objects in your model.

To create a new 3D marker, find the 3D Location Marker row in the Object Description Tab of the Element properties. Creating a 3D marker also opens the 3D Location Marker App allowing you to edit the marker.

The 3D Location Marker App can also be opened from the Coordination Tab of the Fuzor App Menu. The 3D Location Marker App can be dragged around the Fuzor window. For more information see Workspace Management. The 3D Location Marker app allows you to control properties of the currently selected 3D Location Marker. You can change which 3D Marker is selected by clicking on the text.

At the bottom of the 3D Location Marker app there are a few buttons to manage 3D Markers.

The Display Distance slider controls the distance an object is from the camera that an attached 3D Location Marker appears or disappears.

The Fade at Display Distance checkbox toggles whether 3D Locations Markers Fade out or animate away when reaching the display distance.

The Apply to All Markers checkbox toggles whether changes made in the 3D location marker menu apply to the currently selected marker or all markers in the file.

The Move button Moves the 3D Marker across the screen space. If the Marker is displayed in 3D space this button will enable the refit tool to transform the Marker.

The Move Start Pt. button allows the user to specify a new attach point for the Marker. This can also be used to attach a given marker to a new object.

The Preview button previews the animation that plays when a 3D Marker becomes visible.

The text entered into the Global Caption textbox is displayed by the marker. Other settings control the font and color of the text.

Selects a text color for the 3D Location Marker.

The Shadow checkbox toggles whether a shadow appears on the text.

The Padding sliders controls the distance between the border and the text.

The Style drop down menu controls where the caption box appears with relation to the line.

The Icon drop down menu controls what kind of Icon is used to show what object the caption is describing.

The Width slider controls the width of the line

The Top option forces the line above the caption

The Bottom option forces the line below the caption

The Center option forces the line to intersect with the side of the caption.

When appearing and hiding 3D Location markers will animate. The animation tab controls the animation. To preview the animation use the Preview button at the bottom of the App.

The Style drop down menu controls the animation style

The Text dir. drop down menu controls the direction the text animates from.

The Fade Out drop down menu controls the exit animation for 3D Marker.

The Animation Duration controls the amount of time the marker will animate.

The Box tab contains settings that change the background and border.

Picks a color for the background or border respectively.

The Alpha slider adjusts the transparency of the background.

The Width slider controls the width of the Border.

The Rounded Corners checkbox toggles whether the border of the 3D Marker is rounded.

An image can be applied to the background of a 3D marker. Use the Media tab to manage images in 3D Location Markers.

Opens file browser to select an image.

Removes a previously loaded image.

The Alpha slider changes the transparency of the image.

The Size slider changes the size of the image.

Normally 3D Location Markers are displayed in screenspace. However, 3D Markers can be displayed in 3D Space. When 3D Location Markers are in 3D Space they will no longer follow the screenspace of the user. Instead, they will hover in the location they are placed like a physical object. Additionally no lines are drawn to the object the marker is attached too.

The Display in 3D Space checkbox toggles whether a 3D Location Marker is displayed in 3D Space rather than screen space.

The Size slider changes the size of the 3D Location Marker when displayed in 3D Space. 3D Location Markers that are being displayed in 3D Space can be translated and scaled further using the Move button.

The Quick Place button appears for Markers in 3D space and allows the user to place a marker on a surface.

When a 3D Location Marker is set to display in 3D Space it is less obtrusive. These can be used as persistent labels in a site logistics model.

There are a number of ways to control the visibility of 3D Markers. By default, 3D markers are only visible when the object they are attached to is visible. This means that they will automatically hide when the associated object is hidden with respect to the 4D Schedule.

Additionally, 3D markers can be hidden using the visibility override. In the visibility override 3D markers appear as Fuzor Content.

The Visibility of a 3D marker can be controlled with a trigger. For more information see Event Triggers.

The Visibility Tab of the Flythrough app accesses the same visibility settings within the Visibility Override app. These visibility settings are saved to scenes. Use this feature to control what scenes a 3D Location Marker is visible in. For more information see Flythrough.
