There are 6 types of tasks in Fuzor. The default task type is a construction task. Different tasks have different kinds of animations or objects that can assigned to them. You can change a task type using the Task Type Column in the Task Table. Or you can create a given task type with the buttons on the 4D Simulation Toolbar.
Construction Task: Hides assigned objects before the duration of the task, animates during the duration, and keeps them visible after.
Sequence Animation Task: Animates using the sequence animation attached to the assigned objects during the duration of the task. The assigned objects are always visible however their position after the task is complete is dependent on the last frame in the sequence animation.
Equipment Task: Used to assign equipment and vehicle animations to a simulation schedule. The added content plays a selected animation during the task.
Traffic Task: used to toggle active segments in a traffic path during the construction schedule. If originally enabled the segment assigned to a Traffic Task will toggle off when the task starts and on when the task ends.
Demolish Task: Hides assigned objects after its duration, and animates them during the duration of the task.
Temporary Task: Hides assigned objects before and after its duration, and animates them during separate demolish and construction durations.
Staging Task: Specifies a staging area for objects before they are placed. Objects will appear in the staging area during the duration of the task. After the task is complete objects appear in their original place. |

Add Selection: Adds your current 3D View selections to the selected task. If multiple tasks are selected the object is added to the last selected task.
Clear Selection: Removes your current 3D View selection from your selected task. If multiple tasks are selected the object is removed from the last selected task.
Clear All Selected: Clears all selected tasks of all objects.
Clear All Tasks: Clears all tasks in the schedule of all assigned objects.

With an object selected in the 3D View you can use the buttons to the right to select similar objects. Some of the buttons in this menu react to whether the objects in your model are instances. An instance is a copy of another object. These buttons are useful ways of finding objects that are copies of another. |
| ||||||
The All Instance button selects all objects sharing an instance with your current selection in your entire project. The All Type Cur Level button selects all objects sharing an instance with your current selection in your current level. The Find Tasks button will Select the task that contains the current selection in your 3D View. |

In order to filter your tasks, select the Task Filters button in the 4D Simulation Toolbox. This will open the Task Filter menu where you can filter your tasks by their duration or by preset Activity Codes. The Look Ahead Filter filters out objects that are not within the time frame specified by the Duration field. The Enable checkbox toggles the Look Ahead Filter. The Current Date radio button starts the time frame at your system time. The Schedule Date radio button starts the time frame at the current schedule time The Include Overlap checkbox includes tasks that may start or end outside of your time frame but still overlap with the duration. The Include WBS Tasks checkbox includes parents of tasks with their children. The Export Tasks button allows you to export a PDF showing information about each of the tasks based on task filters. The Task Choices menu allows you to select which information to include in the report.
The activity code filter enables you to filter with activity codes created in your schedule editor from the task filter. Checking Filter By Activity Codes enables this feature. The checkboxes located next to each activity code toggle whether it is shown in the Task Table. To check or uncheck all activity codes us the Select/Deselect All button. |

The Edit Custom Task Filter Window allows you to define the rules by which the task columns are filtered. For each column in the task table there is a separate rule. To edit a rule click on it in the List. The Column Value Equals dialog allows you to specify the value that a task must match in order remain in the task view while the filter is active. All rules that have a checkbox marked are active and will filter according to their settings. The Include Matching Tasks radio button includes any tasks that meet the parameters of the value.
The Exclude Matching Tasks radio button excludes and tasks that meet the parameters of the value.
For some filter rules the value to be filtered by is selected from options in a drop down list. In this case the Column Value Equals dialog allows you to select the value that a task must match in order remain in the task view while the filter is active. |
