This section covers using our Family Placement App and populating it with family objects or ArchVision content.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Open Fuzor and navigate to the Family Placement App. The Family Placement App is located under Design in Fuzor App Menu. With the Family Placement App open you can view objects that have been added to your personal library. You can automatically add an object to this list by selecting Add To Family Placement option in the prompt that appears when importing via drag and drop. This prompt will only appear with Sketchup and FBX files. Point Clouds when dragged and drop cannot be added to Family Placement.

Any Family Objects from Revit will also appear here. Once you have some objects in your Family Placement, they will appear in the Family Placement App under Imported Model and you can select them and drop the into the 3D View.

The Snap to Corners checkbox toggles snapping to corners happens while placing objects.

The Save button exports your Family Placement Objects

The Load button loads previously saved Family Placement Objects.

Family Placement Objects can also be added to traffic control paths. When placed on the paths you are prompted to select a forward direction. Use the refit to change the forward direction. Once complete the traffic path operates as normal. For more information see Paths.

If you select the family object while it is on the path can access two functions in the element properties.

The Clear Forward field removes the forward direction from the object

The Update Forward field opens the Refit Tool for you to reselect the forward direction.

Importing Your Assets From Archvision

Configure your Archvision library and populate your Family Placement App with objects from Archvision.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

With the Family Placement App open click the Archvision Icon shown the right that is located at the bottom of the view. This will open the RPC Thumbnail Selection window. First you much select the Configure Content Button shown below and it will open the RPC Content Configuration window. In this window select Update. If Archvision is properly installed This will populate the RPC Thumbnail Selection with Archvision assets.

Select the object you wish to use in the RPC Thumbnail Selection and click OK. Your object will then be in your Family Placement App for you to spawn in your scene just like any other 3D model
