Importing 3D Models
This section demonstrates various methods of importing 3D models into your Fuzor project.
Drag and Drop
Learn how to import models via drag and drop.

To import an object via drag and drop simply drag them anywhere into the primary Fuzor Window. The following file types can be imported via drag and drop: SketchUp 2019, 2020, 2021: (.skp). 3D Object: (.fbx). Point Cloud: (.pts), (.fls). Industry Foundation Classes: (.ifc). 3DS Max: (.3ds).
Once this has been done the window to the right will appear. if Spawn in Location is checked the object will be loaded at its default location or in the location the Placement Zone specified by the GIS App. If Load in Family Placement is selected the object will load into the Family Placement Library. For more information see Family Placement. If Specific Coordinate is checked the object will spawn at the location of the coordinate denoted by the X,Y,Z textboxes. You can fill these values by clicking on any object in your 3D scene. Recap Point Clouds must be loaded into Revit and then Synced to Fuzor.
All of the above models can be updated using the Reload Imported Model Button in the element properties for that object. |
Geographic Information System
This section demonstrates using the Geographic Information System(GIS) App to keep track of and manipulate the 3D assets.

The GIS App is located in the Coordination tab of the Fuzor App Menu. The Alt + G hotkey opens the GIS App. With the GIS tool open you can view and manipulate models that are loaded into the scene.
To Select a model, click the checkbox to the left of its name. The Placement button changes the location of the Placement Zone for loading in new Cache Files The Move button opens the Refit Tool to move the selected model. For more information see Refit Tool The Delete button deletes all of the selected models from your project. The GIS Map button opens the GIS Map
With just the Refit tool it is difficult to move models together when they are very far apart. The GIS map can be used to move models that are very far apart close together.
The GIS Map Pin represents an individual model in the GIS Map. The number is associated with the number in the list.
Dragging the pin around the map moves the model location. To move two models close together drag the pins on top of one another. Hovering over the pin will highlight the associated model in the Coordinate list to the right. Conversely Hovering over the entry in the Coordinate list will highlight the pin associated with that model. The Coordinate List displays the coordinates of each model in GIS Map.
Each model loaded into Fuzor will have an additional pin and entry in the Coordinate List. The Coordinate List can also be used to reposition the model. Enter the desired coordinates into the textboxes to change the model location.
Once a file is saved as a cache all models are combined into one GIS Map entry. If the GIS Map is needed to coordinate model this must be done before reopening ideally directly after a file is loaded. |
